Rockabilly legend from
Wales, UK, John Lewis is one of the biggest rockabilly legends, heroes and musicians. Not known only in the UK, but also worlwide, Lewis has been on the scene for around 20 years. A lot of well-known journalist descriped his »soul« voice and his guitar playing glorious, life-soaked and absolutely dazzling. Also compared to Johnny Cash, Lewis will play it all – from classic rock´n´roll, modern rockabilly, bop, waltz, jive and even some more easy-going country. In his many years on the scene, he has been working in groups such as Ponchartrain, The Rimshots, Johnny Bach and his Moonshine Boozers and most famous, John Lewis Trio. From more than 17 vinyls released, his latest Sanity (John Lewis and his trio) was released in 2014 and had a collaboration with Irish lady of rockabilly Imelda May in Waltz Around The Kitchen, which is a classic country ballad. As for his live shows, Lewis did play in the city of rock´n´roll – Las Vegas on the Rockabilly Rave festival in 2009, and other big events such as Rockin Around Turhout in Belgium (2012), Crazy Eventik in Switzerland, and many many more. On our show you will see John Lewis on vocals and guitar, Stuart Mcllroy on piano, Paul Woodmansey on bass and Gary Agar on drums. If you want to dance your heels off or just enjoy a beer with the touch of oldschool rock´n´roll, John Lewis is your man to listen!
